Nov/Dec 2018 edition Issue #2 AutoMobilia Resource Magazine Amy Markle What a whirlwind the past 6 weeks has been with events on both coasts! Car Week in CA included Automobilia Monterey, held at the Embassy Suites, Seaside, where the focus is on original memorabilia. Artwork, badges, books, model cars, photos, posters, sculptures and so much more are available from 40 vendors from all over the world. In 2019, this event will expand to 3 days. Find out more about new times at automobiliamonterey.com
Socks! They are the hottest thing around. At least 3 vendors had them at Rennsport. If you missed buying them in person you can purchase socks from Jim Hazen thedriverssociety.com, Eric Horton striipedesign.com and heeltoesocks.com. Porsche and Audi sell official socks, maybe your favorite car manufacturer does too. JCCS - Japanese Classic Car Show in Long Beach, CA had a good number of automobilia shopping opportunities, including numerous high-quality enamel automobile pins from Leencustoms.com and Rexone Custom diecast cars by the box. The oddest automobilia I found was Coffee, yes coffee. Four Coffee from AZ was available at Rennsport. Their Porsche 356 & Coffee shop story can be found at fourtillfour.com. New Books Coming Soon: Gulf 917 by Jay Gillotti published by Dalton Watson Fine Books, and IMSA 1969-1989 by Mitch Bishop and Mark Raffauf published by Octane Press. Look for both books where you can find us next at the GoMotorbooks/PeopleKars booth during the Rolex 24 at Daytona, Jan 25-27, 2019.
See you "On-the-Road" Amy
