Sep/Oct 2021 edition Issue #18 AutoMobilia Resource Magazine Allen Spurlin
The painting took artist Brian Tull 19 full days to paint, and cost $10,000. The car is a 1956 Chevy convertible owned by a local car collector, Larry King. The model, Bonnie Valentine, is a professional pin-up model and burlesque performer. Brian used Sherwin Williams paints, a few good brushes and “a whole lot of faith.” At 16' wide by 10' tall, it makes a great impression. Bonnie is not only a model, but did the interior design featuring Japanese lanterns, retro 1950s decor and more.
