This is a classic vintage style pin-up Poster originally published in the 1960s. This Poster, by Gil Elvgren - one of the most famous and respected pin-up artists of the twentieth century, is from the canvas oil painting of the same name. ​

Veedol 1957 Calendar

Features, the very famous ice-skater image. Veedol Motor Oil was a part of the Tide Water Associated Oil Company.  Veedol’s advertisements touted their oil as “100% Pennsylvania”, “The World’s Most Famous Motor Oil” and also claimed they “Improved Performance in Three Ways.”

In 1937, Gil Elvgren began painting calendar pin-ups for one of America’s leading publishing co’s, where he created about 60 works on 28″×22″ canvas with a distinguishing printed signature.

From Europe in the 1970s.  According to Dan, “Almost all the good pin-up girl signs were from Europe (not the USA) in that time period.”
