Leigh Knudson - Reader Spotlight
Leigh Knudson Truck memorabilia and Reader Spotlights
Leigh Knudson was raised around imported cars and SCCA race cars in a home with an engine dyno in the basement garage. About 40 years ago he realized that despite exposure to a range of imported classic and race cars, he had become really interested in pre-WWII trucks. This led to a massive collection of early truck photos and sales literature, with a heavy emphasis on White Motor Co., and of course a few real trucks, too! He also started buying truck emblems and has built a large collection of N. American truck and bus emblems. He also enjoys driving a Crofton Bug, and working on his 1951 SIATA Amica. Leigh is a collector of various car and truck transportation memorabilia, including paperweights, vintage dirt track photos, etc. He has written for six different hobby magazines and spent 10 years as co-publisher of “Super Power” for the Vintage White Truck Association.

Some of Leigh's Articles:
The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR), York Springs, PA, probably has more automobilia per square foot then any museum in the country. Packed into about 30,000 sq. ft., there is a broad range of auto racing items: jackets, helmets, trophies, posters, track layouts, photos, letters and historical records filling nearly every nook and crevice surrounding the 50 or so race cars on display. I have visited at least five major race car museums, but none compare when it comes to automobilia.
